Poorly courgettes, happy tomatoes, and bushy peppers – today in my greenhouse
Well after the recent scare with the tomatoes looking a bit poorly, I thought it was time for a greenhouse check-in… and it’s all looking good. And, thankfully, there’s a wee bit more space in there just now thanks to the turn in the weather and the much more summer-esk days. The sunflowers are all out, big and small, as are the peas and the shelving is looking a little bit less cluttered. But the big thing is just how green it’s looking in there now.
The tomatoes are taller than me now, although that’s not saying much, and we’re already eating fruit fro them… I think 4 at the time of today’s bonus video, but – excited squeal – we actually have peppers on the plants now. I know!!!! So much earlier than other years. I’m proper excited.
Also…. my first calendula flower!

Okay so I know for lots of you guys that’s not exciting, but it is for me, I’ve never grown calendula before. So I’m ecstatic. I do need to get them planted out though, they can’t live in the greenhouse forever, as much as I like them.
The only thing in there not looking so awesome is the courgettes, but to be fair I did plant them way too early and they’ve been surviving in tiny pots, so I think they desperately need to go out into the garden.
So come join us in this week’s bonus Friday video and enjoy the greenhouse with me (and in Sunday’s video, we’re going to build a support for the beans).
